Arthur L. Jackson

FOUNDER - CEO

Arthur L. Jackson III is a proud native of Oakland, California and eventually established roots in the Detroit, Michigan community. Arthur has almost 14 years experience in education where he spent the last 10 years implementing financial reform in challenging urban school districts. Mostly recently Arthur served as the Deputy CFO for Detroit Public Schools Community District where the districts saw significant improvement across all financial metrics and earned release from financial oversight from both the United States Department of Education and State of Michigan Financial Review Commission. 

 

Arthur attended the University of California, Berkeley and graduated with his BA in American Studies with a concentration in Social Justice and Urban Education. He then attended Carnegie Mellon University’s H. John Heinz III School of Public Policy and Management where he received his Master of Science in Public Policy and Management with a concentration in Financial Management. 


Arthur completed the Coro Fellowship in Public Affairs (2009) at Coro Southern California Los Angeles. Arthur was selected as Mayor Intern for the City of Philadelphia under Mayor Michael A. Nutter (2012). Arthur later completed  a certificate in Education Finance at Georgetown University’s McCourt School of Public Policy and completed the.

 

Arthur is now leading Ajacent, which will serve the Metro-Detroit, Michigan community and beyond. Arthur is a devoted husband and father; Sneaker connoisseur, DIY extraordinaire, mentor and youth coach. Arthur is a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., MSBO, Business Management Academy Class of 2019, and a board member for Michigan Liquid Assets Fund(MILAF+).
